Avocado Fruit

The avocado scientific name is Persea Americana from family Lauraceae. It is native to Central America. It is sometimes known as the avocado pear or alligator pear. The fruit is oval or near round with 7 to 30 cm long and diameter up to 14cm. The fruit skin might valid from dark green to yellowish green. The flesh is pale to yellow, buttery and bland flavor. The young fresh is hard and turn to a buttery texture while mature. Inside flesh, there is a single seed with round or ovoid shape. Fruits vary in size, shape, colour, smoothness or roughness of the skin, flesh thickness and flesh quality. The fruit is nourish with vitamin , potassium and provide a number of ailment to people. The avocado oil is second to olives among fruit. The scientific have shown the avocado oil can relieve blood cholesterol.
