Velvet apple Tree and Varieties in  Malaysia

The velvet trees can grow up to 45-105 ft tall. The velvet is eaten fresh, drink by juice. The juice contained a high value of vitamin C. The tree is unisex type where female and male flower produced in different tree. It takes the fruits to be ripening after 4 months.

The Velvet apple varieties are:

1. Ebenaceae
White flesh of Ebenaceae variety is the sweet and flavor like banana and gently taste persimmon. The less known mabolo or velvet apple,, is a close relative and a more perfumed so.

2. Diospyros blancoi
The pink flesh of Diospyros blancoi type creamy,cheese taste. The fruit skin is color reddish brown.
